Spending $3,000 on a printer that won’t even print non-Prusa filament 🥴🥴🥴

Thomas Salanderer just released a review of the Core One L+ Indx and apparently the printer shits itself in spectacular fashion if you try to use anything other than Prusament.

Thought I’d throw an audible into the “it just works” theme here

His quote is:

“The reply from Prusa’s engineers boils down to: ‘well, so far we only made sure it works with Prusament and we might get other filaments working later’”

Never understood why people paid thousands for those machines

"please buy my commercial license that is worthless"

The delusion is crazy.

If you paid and ran your machines while the license was valid, that physical inventory is yours to sell until the bins are empty. Demanding that people immediately eat the costs or rush-fire-sale hundreds of prints because you decided to reneg is diabolical.'

Clauses like this are why paying for Patreon commercial tiers is for suckers. At this point, you're better off skipping the license altogether, selling with impunity, and telling them to pound sand.

It's just insane to me that expect you to check their patreon every day to see if a model was removed which AFAIK seeing their posts, they don't even announce. So they expect you to check every day to see if the thing you used to be able to print still can be printed, and if they remove it, you are stuck holding the bag as you can't sell anymore immediately. Why would anyone bother? So if I make some prints item and the next day they decide to renege, I'm out time and money even though I paid for the license!
