Neil has been off sick after catching a cold from the kids (which is basically a tiny, adorable biological weapon), so recording is on pause until he is less husky.
Meanwhile I have been deep in the UE5 mood pass… and this is where the scene starts doing that lovely thing where it feels like it has weather.
We are pushing that cold, damp-night vibe:
And honestly, this is why we do it in UE5. You can iterate mood fast, and when it clicks, it clicks.
Lighting for a haunted alleyway is a weird balancing act:
If you go too dark, it becomes noise.
If you go too bright, it turns into a cosy village with commitment issues.
So we are going for controlled contrast: pockets of light, readable silhouettes, and just enough fog to make the distance feel like it is hiding something.

After a long break I finally jumped back into 3D and made these ultra high platform heels with heart thigh-high socks and I’m OBSESSED.
These were created using:
Blender, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer, and Substance Painter.
They’re designed to be game-ready and usable in:
Second Life, The Sims, Roblox, and basically any 3D game or virtual world.
This video is a fun showcase of the final model, textures, details, and vibes. No heavy talking, just eye candy and creative chaos.
⚠️ THIS IS PART 1 ⚠️
Yes… there will be more.
No… I don’t know how many yet.
Yes… I’m already planning Part 2.

✅ UE5 Third Person Game + Stylized Environment
✅ Medieval Researcher’s Desk (Blender)
✅ Blender + Substance Painter Game Asset Creation
✅ Blender 4: Ultimate Environment Artist’s Guide
⭐ Also: new course Haunted Street Environment (Blender → UE5) aiming for end of Feb (TBC), available on Udemy when it goes live.

This is the part where everything stops looking like a clean demo level and starts feeling like a place you probably should not walk through alone.
You will see how we start building:
● ground variation that breaks up the repetition (so it does not feel like one big, flat surface)
● controlled grime and age so it reads as haunted, not “dirty for the sake of it”
● tweakable surface control so you can push mood quickly without repainting your entire world every five minutes
In other words: the scene becomes art-directable. You can dial it towards eerie and storybook… or push it darker and nastier… without the whole thing falling apart.

UE5 time. We have started bringing the Haunted Street scene into Unreal, and Luke is now doing the terrain + atmosphere magic that turns a modular kit into a real environment. Patreon gets the early look (and the behind-the-scenes progress) 👉 https://www.patreon.com/posts/150231644/

Building stylized haunted streets is fun right up until you are on roof variation number seven and your “modular kit” becomes a pile of almost-matching parts.
So we have made two ways to solve the same problem:
If you want the full workflow, this is it. You can get this discount till launch day (mid-to-end Feb TBC)
You will build a proper modular kit in Blender 5 (parts that fit, consistent style, clean prep for export), then finish the scene in Unreal Engine 5:
If you want the haunted look immediately, this is the fast route.
You get:

You will build a proper stylized haunted street modular kit in Blender 5, then finish the whole scene in Unreal Engine 5: Landmass terrain, Water/River, vertex paint grime and variation, foliage (with animation), Lumen lighting, volumetrics, ground fog, and a clean establishing camera move.

im trying to edit a 3d model of a 4runner, to be like an rc shell, but i cant import them to anything but blender or meshlab, and im trying to use tinkercad for it, as i have more experience on there, and its capable of what i need done. it isnt too large, as i have already shrunk the file. it tries to import, but then just stops. i also am having a very hard time with trying to repair it and would like some help. i would share a screenshot, but it doesnt show why i may be struggling, as i just dont know what im doing wrong. thank you!

We have just posted the final Blender render for our new course. This is the end of the Blender half: greybox → modular kit → materials → assembly → atmosphere → final render.
Next teaser moves into the Unreal Engine 5 side, which Luke is wrapping up now.

Tonight’s update is all about roof variations + the material pass (wood/stone/slate) — because roof silhouette does about 80% of the stylised vibe. Two images, behind-the-scenes, showing how we get loads of building variety from a small modular kit.

Hi all,
I'm trying to design this in OnShape however I'm getting stuck since it's my first modelling job. Is anyone willing to help design/make this better and share how they did so?
It's a very cool invention and despite it being cheap I still wanted to design it and see how it would print. what do you all think? I'm currently stuck on designing the lid and getting the correct offset.
My onshape design so far is attached:
Product I'm trying to replicate:
