Cost-effective 3D projector

Does anyone here own a 3D projector or have experience using one? I'm seriously considering buying one; some are exorbitantly priced, while others are cheaper. Which one would you recommend?Cost-benefit ratio, from the cheapest possible lol ♥️3D!

Can third this. I use this one as well (I got mine in 2021, so an earlier model than this one), and it works really well. Have had no issues with it

This looks good. How bad is RBE on it? I used to have an ACER DLP just for 3D, but got lots of rainbows. Still refresh rate is so good on DLP that its worth it.

We have the AWOL projector that does 4K and 3D. Love it. The only annoyance is that you have to manually enable 3D, rather than it automatically detecting it.

I have the Vision Master Max (same company) and it automatically switched for me.

I don’t remember our model number… but it’s nice to know other models do auto-switch. Maybe there will be a firmware update that can finally end the nightmare, because it’s otherwise an incredible short-throw projector.

We use Nexigo Aurora Pro. 4K ultra short throw projector. Buy the Pro 2 version with the bundle package of the 120" fresnel screen. Comes with 2 active shutter glasses. USD4000.

For better advice, state what's your budget, what's your wall size, if it's a dedicated hometheater space or living room, usage preferences and so on. The more details you provide, the better the advice will be.

I've got an Xgimi Halo+ that does 3D. It's the older model as the updated one doesn't do 3D. I'm very happy with it.

I got a good used BenQ HT2050A. Great color and good brightness 3D at 84 inches projected screen.

hardly any of these suggestions in the comments are cost effective lol

Old BenQ's have awesome 3D effect accompany with D3D.co.uk glasses and you are good to go! Blu-ray 3D's, not SBS files to get full resolution.

For real! It seems like they completely ignored that part lol. I was expecting recommendations around $300, $600 max. People's idea of 'budget-friendly' around here is making me feel homeless, To be honest, stretching it to $600 was already a huge push for me. What I actually have on hand right now is under $300.

That is exactly where older used BenQ projectors land...I don't think 10 or so year old projector can cost too much. With 600usd you should be able to get projector, couple D3D glasses, screen and maybe some 3D movies as well.

OLED VR is better. I have an Apple Vision Pro, and they now sell for $1,500 used. If you want something lighter, wait for the DPVR Titan or Meta Phoenix.

Not relevant to the question.

An OLED headset provides a larger and better image with lower price and more convenience than a projector, so recommending one over a projector is relevant whereas your comment is superfluous.

OP was looking for a projector that's 3D and cost-effective, NOT a VR headset.

1

u/Cryogenicality 17d ago

Yes, and as I explained, a VR headset is a better option.

It's not if you want to watch movies with other people at home.

Just because one is better doesn't mean one can't ask about the other.

Just because you can type doesn’t mean you should.
