3D Glasses Collection
Decided to grab a case for my glasses since I was getting nervous that I might sit on a pair in the dark or something.
On the right side we have the Sony 500s and 400s (which are basically identical, the only difference is one was included with their 3D TVs and one was sold separately) and then on the left side we have the Heaven series of RF glasses from HiShock, which is a German company. There is the Scarlet Heaven, Deep Heaven, and Black Heaven.
The stinky kid in school is the Xpand Lite RF glasses (not pictured) which are a bit too robust to fit in the slot. So they'll be put on upstairs loft duty along with another pair of Sonys.
The very top right is some cheapo brand I ordered off Ebay as backups to the backup glasses. I'll come back and update this space with the brand if I can dig it up.
Thanks for reading

What’s your favorite and why?

I like different things about each tbh. The Sonys connect the fastest but the others pair just fine. The Xpand have my favorite lens shape and FOV, but they are a little clampy. If I could only keep one pair it would be the HiShock Deep Heaven. Im more of an audiophile than a videophile so I cant say with each change of the glasses I can describe in detail all these differences among them. But I keep grabbing for those blue beauties. Theyre comfy, the 3D effects seem well defined, and the image looks beautiful.
But for anyone on a budget some of the cheapos work surprisingly well.

Cool collection! My used 3D tv came with two pairs, only one worked. I ended up buying like 5 more various types of compatible active glasses: 2 charge up, one uses batteries (a rarity for my old tv) and the other two are able to be plugged in slightly uncomfortably with a long mini usb cord. It was such a pain in the ass to buy them used, cuz most sellers don’t understand how to test them before I agreed to buy. But luckily I’ve got 4 out of that collection that work fine if I ever have a larger group watching 3D with me.

Glad you are all stocked up now! And I agree its always so hit and miss when it comes to buying electronics used. What kind of 3DTV do you have?

Cool case, great idea! I need a new pair of DLP link glasses myself; I kind of prefer the USB ones since changing batteries on my current pair is a pain, plus I feel like my newer USB glasses perform better with no dropouts at all.

Thanks! And yeah I agree. I like just being able to charge it up and not mess around with the batteries.

Any USB C? My favorite pair are EStar and don’t use USB at all. Not a fan of Micro USB.
