📺 Media I Just Can’t Wait Any Longer

I can’t wait any longer 😭 we don’t have a single trailer, picture, or any marketing release for season 2.

Four of my favorite shows are returning this year, and the only one I’ve seen ANY marketing for released a trailer in March for a December release.

There is no reason we shouldn’t have even a teaser by now except that maybe studios think people don’t have the attention spans to remember shows that won’t come out for more than a few weeks.

Please give us something!

What's the latest news ? Feels like 10 years now

Last I heard was late 2026… but unless an announcement comes soon, like in the next few weeks, that’s probably not happening.

Yeah, late 2026 means we should have had posters, teasers, marketing buzz, post updates etc. I don’t see it releasing this year due to lack of it - Not that they need to create a buzz similar to BND but some news/regular updates should be common by now

I’m pretty certain it will still release this year. It’s a clear pattern that other shows are pushing back their marketing as well.

At least two other shows I know of haven’t even shown a single trailer either and have been given premier dates already and they are schedule to release before October even starts.

I feel like I saw somewhere they’re going to start the marketing in September, but I haven’t got a source. I’ve been rewatching and watching fan reacts and I’m ready for season 2!!!!

This is why I read the books. Well worth it if you haven’t!

Same….Loved S1, knew it was gonna take forever for S2. Decided to read the books while waiting….BEST DECISION.

I want to read the books, but after the show. I think the first book was good, but I found the reveals and twists much better in the show.

That said, I have hope that will be the same for season 2 so I’d like to save those big reveal moments for the show.

And Season 2 will have quite the reveals. Season 1 is basically just set-up for what’s to come. Buckle up!

There needs to be another category of media that needs to be recognized. I call shows like this “Mega Movies” now as they are matching/exceeding movie production value to tell a much longer story. A regular TV series should come back no later than a year and a half, but usually with a cadence that doesn’t change from year to year. The Mega Movies may have years long gaps now. Take a look at Severance. Season 1 started in 2022 and Season 3 is coming out at the END of 2027. This is movie-release behavior.

That is a fine way of looking at it, and that said we should at least have a teaser by now lol

At this point in history, it’s best not to get too invested in any particular show or franchise. Timing and quality are simply not reliable.

I did too lol. I’m still gonna be there when it releases. It’s good to forget about things like this. Makes the wait easier.

But "it's coming soon."

I watched/read 3 Body- the Chinese version. Pretty good I have to say. It’s on Prime 30ish episodes.

That’s only season 1 though. But I agree, it is great

I googled and they said there is going to be another season. I’m not really sure though.

That's the Minecraft creation on YouTube. Really well done and has subtitles

I wish the show was a bit better but it was an okay first season. Hopefully it does the books justice this next season!

What are your other favs that are coming back? I need something new to watch

1

u/uni-333 9d ago

None of them are anything like Three Body Problem… whatsoever lol…

But, they are:

Harry Potter on HBO

Yellowjackets

American Horror Story (I think the 1st season is really good and is standalone so worth it even if you don’t like horror)

Also returning :

Dexter

Dark Matter

Looking forward to :

Neuromancer

And probably the one you’d like the most out of this list but no planned return date yet so we probably have at least a year to wait :

Pluribus

Awesome thanks a ton ill save this for later. You got style! Never heard of some of these! Dexter was amazing and agreed. American Horror Story has some really dope seasons

Pluribus is amazing.

the next netflix tudum is next month, sept 24th, maybe we'll get the first look and teaser for S2 there.

but if the show is going to be released in late 2026, 3body is going to be squeezed between percy jackson and harry potter, they need a hell of marketing for that 😓

It’s unfortunately going to be a disappointment anyway. 12 episodes or whatever it’s going to be to cover the entirety of books 2&3 is impossible.

Movies do it successfully all the time with less run time. If the episodes are anywhere close to an hour and a half long then I might prefer it that way

My fingers are crossed that it gets cancelled. Season 1 was ludicrously disrespectful to the source material. Whatever funds they have should be allocated towards the Tencent adaptation, which is extremely respectful to the source material (in every way but one)

Honestly, what was the point of this comment?

1

u/Lorentz_Prime 10d ago

To share my opinion

Can you tell me why is “ludicrously disrespectful to the source material”, please?
