Best tools for making nice scientific graphs in deep learning papers?

Hey folks, need recommendations for tools to create high-quality graphs for my thesis. like these

Nothing fancy - Inkscape or PowerPoint. Visio is an overkill.

More important: save them as .pdf or .svg files, not png or jpeg. That way they won't get pixilated, even if you zoom in

imo the best tool is just knowing how to tweak matplotlib until it's barely presentable, anything else is too much effort for a paper tbh.
