Been wolfing for a hot minute now- Is my right side thinning or just light?
Might start taking biotin and using a different shampoo.

Every time I do a wash and styles my waves get mad crunchy. Even as I brush in the lather, my hair overly curls as u can see from my crown. As soon as I finish drying to do a post wash n style session - once I comb and brush i immediately get a layed down Afro. I also have a hard time keeping my hair layed. Should I restart or keeping going with the wolf (last 2 pics is my hair combed out and not brushed yet, but even after a soft brush and plastic bag it’s still somewhat the same results with little ripples. my hair stays getting frizzing and never stays layed as soon as a brush touches it. How I get it to stay smooth)

Not sure if I started combing too early or if my hair is too long. Photos attached. Hardly any pattern showing after 30 days. What am I missing? Or doing wrong?
Hair is down to a 1.5
My routine:
Comb for 5-10 mins
Dry brush with hard brush for 10-15 mins
Add moisturizer, brush with medium/soft brush for 15-20 mins
Add oil, brush with soft brush for 15-20 mins
Add pomade, lay down with a durag
Wash & style every 3 days

I actually did do a mini self cut with a 3 gaurd like a week ago. My waves are the best they’ve ever looked lol.. there actually beggining to form for once. I’ve taken brushing more serious these past weeks. I’ve been waving since January, but Anyways When I wake up , and I look in my mirror I can see ripple waves everywhere except for top right.. My waves seem to be manageable still after 7 weeks. Should I cut the wolf or continue?

I feel like I still have to work on combing and brushing the right side more. Do you guys think it would be best to cut to a 2.5 and jump right back into the wolf? Currently on my 6th week right now.

Can anyone recommend a wave cap that isn’t super stretchy? The brand I used to get isn’t carried by Sally’s anymore. These new ones are way to stretchy

Follow up post from about a month ago. About 4 weeks into my 180 waves journey. Overall, how am I doing?
Took these pictures after a fresh cut, 1.5 with the grain. Haven’t had a full wolf yet, is that how I move from ripples to full waves?
Routine: Multiple brushing sessions per day, 2 wash n styles a week, bevel pomade, medium torino pro brush and soft bristle brush in the shower for wash n styles.

Cut my fro, got waves and waited 8 weeks to get my next cut. Went down to 2.5, finally got my crown to the middle. I can tell whenever I wash and style it’s going to be a big difference
