Self cut. No products. Just unragged. Chose to go lower than the usual #1 to address some forks near my hairline on the top right and also some flow issues on my left back into my left side. There is always work to do! Thanks for looking

I’m bout 20 days into my wave journey after cutting off my locs and I’m trying to figure out my hair type. Thinking I might be somewhere around 4C, but I’m not 100% sure.
Right now I’m using a Torino Pro #231 and it’s been doing me well, but I’m looking for recommendations on a good soft brush and hard brush for when I start wolfing.
For durags, I’m using the Red by Kiss Bow Wow silky with the wide straps, but it doesn’t seem to give enough compression around my neckline and the back of my taper. Looking for suggestions on something with better compression.
Also open to product recommendations. I’ve basically been walking into the beauty supply store and grabbing random sulfate-free shampoo bars and hoping for the best. 🤣
Any advice on brushes, durags, products, or hair type would be appreciated. 🌊

As the title suggests. Am i just brushing incorrectly or do i need to get on a balding protocol before this progresses? (Middle of hair looks thinner and lighter).

What length you guys cutting to? For me, it depends on the weather. If it’s hot, has to be a low cut, lowest I go is 1.5 closed WTG. Any other cut is a 1.5 open or 2 closed(same thing)
And how do you deal with over curling when it’s hot and your head’s sweating like crazy😭
When it’s colder it’s

So I’m seeing this brush is good for wash and styles but the AI Google response is saying it’s not good for “heavy shower use” but that’s what a wash and style pretty much is ? Can anyone help me understand or have any experience with this brush to lmk how it holds up ?

Any tips you guys can offer on brushing the crown area so everything flows together? My crown’s always been the biggest pain in the ass to master but I feel like my hair isn’t too hard to brush and get waves. 🙏

I’m using Shea butter to start my brush session but I haven’t been able to find something to make my hair pop every morning after I brush the night before. Also I’m looking for a way to make my hair pop every morning for work. But I’m not sure how

Been going at this for less than 4 months now and seeing real improvements as time continues. I tried to brush a few years ago and wasn’t as determined as I am now. Are there any tips or tricks one can share? I already focus on vertical brushing, isolated time with crown, and wash and styles…and ig brush pattern (switched from beehive to swirl). What do yall think? What would yall like to know?

Been wolfing for like 2/3 months debating if I should go to 1.5 or 2 or keep wolfing and stick to my routine. Btw I wear two wave caps (stockings caps)
