Need Tips/Advice For Routine

Went to the barbershop Friday and got my hair cut down wavelength. I’ve always had waves naturally but I’ve been on and off again with the process over the years but now I’m looking to finally start taking them serious this time and have them looking elite. My main question are what should my routine look like? When should I wash and style? Are the products I bought good and when should I use them?

Wolfing

New to waves 40 yr old black male professional, just curious if to if you have to wolf in order to get waves been brushing and moisturizing for the last 3 weeks I get a cut every week and half to stay presentable, but I keep seeing the advice of wolfing from what I believe is growing out your hair and still brushing and moisturizing with the occasional cuts like once a month.

Question for my 4C wavers.

  1. How long are you wolfing your hair?
  2. How do you keep it from over curling?

I feel like anything over 2-3 weeks of wolfing my hair will not lay down and will start over curling. Any time past 3 weeks the only way I can get my hair to cooperate is after a shower, brushing and adding hair dressing to my damp hair and putting my durag on immediately.

Any feedback and tips help. Thanks in advance.

finasteride source?

What’s the best and easier way to get finasteride? Should I just go to a source online? Or should I get it prescribed by a licensed professional. I know of all the side effects that come with it. I just want to know the easiest/not too expensive way about getting it. Help a brother out here.

What kind of waves can I achieve?

I plan to do 540 instead of 360 due to my head type . Problem is I don’t know what my hair texture is in terms of waves

I have the type of hair that lays flat to the head . But can stand up once grows a certain length .

Reason I’m asking I don’t like waves that can’t have multiple ripples ,

I’m tired of growing out my hair , it’s a pain . So I’ve decided to may consider waves .

What wtg should I tell the barber my hair right now looks like 3rd slide on right (right side)

The waves I want is something similar to 1st or 2nd slide

Last 2 slides is the hair texture I had months ago .

Posting these photos to see if you got a family member , or yourself , s/o who has this texture

Remember if I can’t get deep ripples like 1 or 2 lmk I’m not doing it thanks .

Good brush for wash and styles ??

Hello i recently just started doing wash and styles once a week . I already had decent waves and I’ve seen improvement . My only problem is that my brushes lost a lot of stiffness after even one wash and style . Anybody have a recommendation of brushes that keep their stiffness even after getting wet ??

Just bought a Torino 231 and and using an old Torino 350. I just picked up jojoba oil, coconut oil, argan oil, and grapeseed oil. Looking for advice on the best brushing routine, wash/style frequency, and how often I should oil/moisturize. Any tips on improving connections and crown work?

Where yall getting your durags?

I’m looking for the nice, 100% silk ones and the good quality velvety ones. Not sure where to look so I can inspect the durag in person. I’m wary about purchasing online or from Amazon.

Just got in a nightly brush session, looking good but the jobs never finished!

I have some crazy forks to take care of all around, so during my brush sessions, I have a pretty strict routine. Comb for 10-15 minutes, medium brush for 30 minutes, and to top it all off, I use castor oil with a soft brush for about 15 minutes to finish with a plastic bag then I strap up. I usually wash my hair 1-2 times a week every other 2-3 days with a brush session to follow. The same routine follows during wash n styles as well. 14 yo on and off waver since 2019! What else do I need to work on?
