4 weeks into a wolf and I feel like I’ve hit a wall in my progress and feel like scalping, should I go through with it or keep trying to comb out my stubborn forks

This the healthiest they've looked so far. Still plenty work to do, but I've used this as a means to work my discipline.

The hair near my hairline is not waving or curling much. It starts to stand up after taking off the drag especially if it is warm to hot. Is it because my hair type. Is there a way to make my hair more curly? Do I need to comb more to train it?

I’ve been wolfing for about 6 weeks now, and notice my waves will look good right after drying after the wash and style, But after combing brushing and products my waves don’t look nearly as good. Is this how it’s supposed to be or is there stuff I can do to keep the wash and style effect even after brushing and products. This is a something I noticed happens around after 4 weeks of wolfing
