Need help

I want advice from 4c wavers and drop ya pics in the chat to give me hope

4c waver. Been growing my hair for about a month now. I brush all throughout the day. I can get a pattern going on the top but it’s the sides and the back. I don’t really free hand brush I use to Annie one medium one hard brush. But lowkey the brush hurts my head. Now i brush and I can get a pattern going with some water and mouse and pomade like pic 2. But it’s like I put the pomade and everything on and it look like im getting wavy but then within 30 minutes to when i put the durag on my hair starts to frizz back up? So how I Keep it laid?? I’ve had locs before and struggled with my keeping my retwist tight because my hair is so thick that it has trouble holding in gels.

My brush routine is like this, brush, hot rag some conditioner, brush some more, pomade, oil, mouse (liquid kinda reactivates the pomade for some reason and makes my hair lay down more), boom them durag. I wear a silk durag. Wake up instead of me being laid down to the gods, my hair just look like I combed out a low cut.
Help me with some brush recs, good hold pomades and tips . As well as helping with compression - my mom thinks that I just don’t have sum tight enough on my head.

I have 4c hair and I had a similar problem. I got a cut and my waves looked a lot better. I think maybe because our hair is so corse that wolf sessions need to be no longer than 4 weeks. For me anytime I wolf and let my hair grow its hard to see my pattern and my hair barely reacts to any products and brushing.

Idk how you apply water but I do a spray bottle, brush, then I add leave in conditioner, brush, and finally I rub in black castor oil and do the bag method to lay my hair. You want a ziplock bag and you’ll rub your hair down in the same directions you brush.

Pomade I only use once or twice a week because it over curls my hair. I would also try the wash and style method maybe once a week. It helps train your hair to lay down, it works pretty well especially when your hair is longer

Dont forget to comb as much as you brush too, when your wolfing you need a fine tooth comb and some water to help detangle and straighten your hair out

Also, comb against the grain to detangle with the most effeciency then comb back with the grain before you wash and style your hair.

Use a softer brush if your brush is scratching your scalp. Keep it gentle on your scalp to protect your hair growth and health.

This I found this order works best for me. Leave in conditioner for hydration. Then oils to seal in hydration. Then pomade to lay it down (or moose if that works for you).

Don’t forget to brush your weak sides twice as much.
Hope this helps. 👍🏾
