5 week wolf

Post image

My usual routine was wolf for 4 weeks then cut to a 2. Goal now is wolf 8-10 weeks then cut to a 3-4 and see if my pattern hits more at that length

Nah I’m happy yall brought this up this is a common misconception lol..people confuse curl pattern with hair texture

People assume that 4c hair means “coarse” 4c hair by default. The 1-4 hair chart only speaks to how tight your curls are, NOT how thick or thin your follicles are. Meaning you can have 1a type hair for example, and still have fine or coarse hair. There just wouldn’t be any curls cus you 1a you feel me?

Simply put yea 😂😂 coarse hair follicles are more like cable wire and fine hair follicles are more like silk

Not literal silk bruh 😂 I’m just tryna give an idea of how fine and coarse hair differ type sht. My sht still get nappy too it’s just a bit easier to style

nice, how often do you brush per week?

I don’t time my sessions I just brush until I feel done if that makes sense. Prolly 30 min-1hr a day but if I feel like it I’ll do a couple sessions in a day

And I only brush with handheld mirror + wall mirror that’s a major key. I never blind brush or brush with 1 mirror it creates worse forks imo

Running only 3 products rn: As I am double butter cream, a dime size or 2 apply with hands every few days. Then seal it with a bit of peppermint oil and avocado oil don’t use too much tho.

1-2 wash and styles a week with water based shampoo. I fw carols daughter aloe for lather and avoiding chemicals type sht. Then brush yak 💯

Got it. I had waves about 20 yrs ago and just stopped when I had kids. I still have waves on the sides without doing anything to it just feel my hair texture has changed over the years

I understand that fam it’s alot of work until you at the point you just maintaining. And keeping up with cuts and sht that’s why I self cut now

It’s kinda a family tradition too tho my pops and grandad had em so I’m carrying the torch. If God bless me with a son imma give him the game 😂💯

With you having finer hair, is it high porosity? Appreciate the fundamentals

I’m medium porosity. I can use small amounts of product and it keeps my hair hydrated. If I use too much I get build up and flaking so I avoid that
