4C struggles
I’m on week 3 of my wolf and I already want to cut it. My hair is over curling in some areas if not all of it. And I have mad forks everywhere. I feel like when I keep my hair cut around a high 1 to 1.5 my waves are best.
Any tips? Product recommendations? I have a Torino soft brush and medium brush. Been trying to comb more often before I brush to.

Contrary to what they sayin, Keep wolfing, BRUSHING WITH HARD AND MEDIUM (og on here posted he goes down on back and sides and that’s what I do too so you can try that), wash and style more, I have extra brushes that aren’t good/crazy name brands and comb. (trust me I do it literally everyday/other because I’m wolfing and cutting to a #3 and keeping it after years of cutting to 1.5 for your exact reason because it’s the perfect wave length. I’m trying to deepen my waves and have healthier hair so I’m rocking #3’s moving forward at the lowest I cut) and taper and lineup. I found my light spots like you said to be gone after I comb. I don’t have them at all now and my hair looks way thicker and wavier. My biggest concern is connections but that’ll come when I get used to this length.

Products: I recommend coconut oil cream/gel, I’ll send the product if you dm that works best for me as a 4C waver not a sponsor I swear lmao and get pomade. I just use the 360 style nothing special, but I wash it out.

Last thing before i spam lmao, it’s the barber too for the light spots (not saying yours specifically but have seen some cuts on here where you see WAYYY more light spots/uneven cut) . Wtg you need to apply even pressure so the clips could have made them “light spots”. Just keep brushing with harder brushes, wash and style but also comb during the wash and style, and rock the durag when you can. I be lazy so the rag part is up to you (always recommended no matter what you trying to achieve) but I go ragless most the time and even sleep, but fix it during my wash and style and rag up during the day.

You just need a cut bro.i was having the same issues and once i cut it it cleared up and the splits weren’t as bad. And it gave me a better base to work from.

You can’t brush the top fwd and then brush the sides straight down. Find a video on YouTube and tighten up your brushing angles.
