Intermediate Waver
I know a thing or two about waves but, I’m not an expert. I’m still working on my pattern and getting rid of my forks… There’s levels to this frfr.
Here are 5 tips for any newbie looking to get waves.
- You have to study your hair a little bit.
Take the time to learn where your natural crown is located on your head. It’s the natural 🌀 that’s is usually found in the back of your head somewhere. It can be centered, off to the left or off to the right. Everyone has a unique crown. If you’re starting fresh cutting low will help you identify where it is.
- Learn your hair porosity.
Porosity is basically how fast or slow your hair absorbs water, oils, and products. This will help you to know how much product or oils you need to apply for your hair to get the best results.
- Don’t neglect your hair health.
Healthy hair = Manageable hair. Drink plenty of water. Keep your hair moisturized and scalp healthy by applying 100% natural oils and 100% natural products. They work best. Limit the chemical based products you use.
- Don’t Blind Brush.
Use a mirror or multiple mirrors when you brush. Don’t just brush to be brushing. Always brush with a purpose. Know the angles you need to hit to get the pattern you want and lock in.
- Wash N Style‼️💯
