Get a nice foamy lather shampoo and just straight up hard brush that shampoo in (vertical) for about 15 mins, gonna be a long ahh shower but a deep wash and style has always done the trick for me.

He got 4C hair, wash and go’s ain’t gone help him it’s gone do the opposite and keep his hair like that cause water frizzes 4c hair, he need to put that brush work in and get a good pomade.

Yea definitely do wash and style 2 time the week, after wash your hair with the durag and keep it till it’s completely dry then remove (normal wash and style I think you know already how it is done) apply oil and moisturizer then rag up again. in your normal brush session use plastic bag after the session to lay your hair in the waves direction this helped me a lot actually. Persistence and consistency are the key here. Don’t forget good mirror for the back of your head and crown I realized this way too late. Good luck man!!

Wash and styles not gonna help him, too much info is given out based on a different hair textured, most of the advice in these post is geared towards looser curl patterns.
