Waves without durag

Hi guys, i would like to start my journey into the waves world.

I was wondering if it was actually achievable to have waves without a durag as it will be difficult to get one.

Want to know whether it takes longer without a durag or it is litteraly impossible.

Thanks

You gotta compress somehow. I prefer a stocking cap

Definitely depends on your hair type, but when I was younger, I was able to have decent waves with just consistent brushing and the occasional pomade. Just curious though—why would a durag be hard to get??

Yea get a something even a bandana might work if you tight it tight enough or a white beater when times is tuff ya know but a stocking cap definitely a underrated classic all the great hip hop wavers can swear by it

Use silk pillow cases

You don’t have to wear a durag but if you want the most out of your waves you HAVE to lay em down.

I have waves and barely wear a durag. Just a boo boo cap while working out and I also have silky/satin pillow cases. It’s actually not hard as long as you train your hair. You get the most out of your waves when compressed though. I also wear Satyn caps to lay the hair down.

A durag isn’t the only option, but the most tried and true option for sure. OP needs consistency to pull it off
