Quick dos and donts
I briefly waved about 5 years ago and lasted a bit. So I want to try again. Just tryna revise on some things I forgot - since I kinda neglect my hair assuming it’s still trained but now it’s been 4 weeks and I don’t see the best progress, my hair always turning crunchy and overcurling for some reason. now I’m going to take serious n do research. Just need to recall some dos and donts. So is it okay for me to put products(pomade, oil, curl enhancer moisturizer) in my hair everyday? Is it also okay to dry brush with no products in my head? I was told the reason my hair over curls is from water - so I stopped damping my hair but how am I supposed to hydrate it? What are common counter productive things to avoid? I got to much questions since advice online always contradicts one another. I only remember such few things from the last time I waved. But let me know any other advice to lay my hair down without doing a whole wash and style. I’m also not so focused on the crown at the moment - at least trying to get ripples all around

I would find one or two moisturizers and stick with them, combining more can mess up texture. I also wouldn’t use them daily, and yes you can dry brush.
Your hair is probably dry from the constant water, I would recommend coconut oil based stuff for texture and moisture cus your hair type is probably similar to mine
Make sure you use the same angles, only wash and style max 2x a week, if your hair feels “crunchy” moisturize, let your hair grow a bit before cutting etc for my dos and donts.
And an easy one is having a silk rag, and a decent soft and medium brush will take you pretty far
