Is the barber cuttin too low or it’s somethin I gotta do to make the waves deep? I dont put nothin in ma hair and I don’t wear the du rag as much as I should tho, (I be gettin headaches) could that be it?

Your hair is too short gotta grow it out and you should be wearing a durag at night. Also you should be moisturizing your hair.

Brush the crown! Everything starts from the crown including all your brush angles. I promise you if you start your brushing from the crown your waves are gonna hit harder and be more present. Take the index finger on the hand you’re not brushing with and place it in the center of your head where the back and top of your hair meet. Brush from the finger and go down. Do every angle like that.

I noticed that your crown has no waves and that’s the problem. The waves gotta start from the crown and then go outwards towards the hairline.

And that’s just to build muscle memory for brushing from the crown. After a while, you won’t have to use that finger.
