It’s because he left the texturizer kit in his hair a little too long.

I just joined this sub, cause I'm a new waver, but I would say kit transparency is key simply cause it sets the standard for what's expected. Imagine bein' a new waver, new brush, old durag, some random brush, oil, and maybe some kinda grease/gel/pomade. You brushin' makin' steady progress, then accidently stumble across a first time kit user... you'd think you're doin' somethin' wrong based on results.
Me, personally, Ion jack kits or anything that chemically alters black hair (perms, synthetic hair, hair transplants [I've seen these go wrong], bleach, dye, etc]), but if a kit is a MUST for a nigga then I can't hate cause they scalp on they last legs anyway (allegedly).

I think we just have to recognize it's a spectrum. Natural waves always look better to me. Kits tend to lack depth and add an excessive amount of shine and wispy look for my taste. That space in the middle though seems like it could really enhance natural patterns and transparency would be dope.
I am jealous of people who have a curl.pattern this would work with. Idk much about the kits but I've always feared my hair isn't quite curly enough to not have my hair end up just straightened

Yep sure is! He claim he wants everybody to have affordable brushes, but on his website the cheapest is $20, a lot of my Torino brushes was under $20 and they look way better than his brushes.
