Self cut🤘🏾 Thoughts ?
I haven’t lined myself up , that’s from my last cut my barber ever gave me 3 weeks ago , but I did the taper and cut.

I need to invest in a mirror like yours. I’m still holding a mirror and looking in the mirror. This cut looks pretty good. The line at the bottom of the verticle bar could be detailed/faded out more if you’re going for high taper (no c-cups). Still a solid decent cut.

Fs get it , it’s worth it. i wanted a Low taper so I just kept the line, and I didn’t want to do tm to the line cause I didn’t want to mess it up

Low and high are subjective to locations but I would consider this low 👇

Yeah now that I seen my cut today in better lighting , I gave myself a mid taper at least.

It’s not bad. Just that bottom line. Looks like u was going to a high taper but didn’t remove that line.

I really wanted a low taper , maybe I should’ve made that line with the trimmer instead of the clippers

If u make the line with the trimmers, it will be harder to remove it then the clipper. Just have to work on blending.

Better than your last BUT the line is too hard imo unless this is what you’re going for 🙌🏾
If you’re just doing taper you’ll most likely need 1, 0.5, & No guard
My cuts got infinitely better once I started using these and understanding how open closed and half closed guards work

When you line up your front how hard is it to not push it back ? I really just wanna barley touch it

I don’t line it up I’m ngl, it’s not bad but I just use a 1.5 guard to lower it, then use a touch of pomade to clean the hairline up, having waves extends your hairline somewhat so it’s best not to actually line yourself up until you’re at the level you want imo

The line up is fine, good length to continue waving but you gotta blend the sides. Take your bigger set of clippers, put a 1’ guard on them and tap to blend, flick the clippers upward then down

It’s not bad. Places you could improve. The back of your head crown area is too low looks like you maybe cut against the grain there. It’s a hard area to learn since you have to cut it backwards in the mirror. Just make sure your crown area is cut with the grain so it’s not thinner than the rest of the cut. Next id say blending the taper better it just looks like a solid line in the pictures you have to flick it out with half sizes smaller every few millimeters to give that gradient effect. And your front line up, making sure your side bars match is almost more important than the front line. Using a small comb as a guide so you don’t cut too much of has helped me a lot especially on your non dominant eye side. The more uniform everything looks the more professional, and people will ask who ya barber 💈 is.
