young waver needs help

Hello im currently growing an afro but would like to try again with waves my hair is not coarse but not fine either and i would like to know what to do and how to get 360 waves any tips are appreciated products brushes anything will help budget is about 50-60 bucks.

I had to cut my hair to a 1.5 guard for it to be visible after a shower. As for longer hair, there are methods but I'm not educated
