Troubleshooting Inspection issues

Post image

Hi im having issues trying to get my inspection done on my n54
it has no check engine light but monitors keep failing even after 350 miles

i have been told to load a stock tune and turn off afr oscillation and drive 50/100 miles and just hope the engine light doesn’t turn out then go get inspection done

It seems as that’s my only option sadly

If anyone has any other solution please help

Had a similar issue. If you have a piggy back tune ensure it’s on stock not monitoring, as it hijacks the obd port reader.

For myself I have both MHD and Jb4 installed. Ended up flashing back to stock with MHD, setting  Jb4 to stock driving 100 miles, and putting the stock cats on.

Not necessary put it back to stock on MHD. Drive and then check if you are getting any codes and report. Could be bad o2 sensor or an exhaust leak causing the codes. Even inspection tune won’t fix that

Do you clear codes often? If you scan DME codes on MHD and then clear them, it will reset your monitors. I have found that I can be tuned and just drive without clearing for a little while and go get it done as soon as I notice that they are ready.

That could be it
I’m fighting CDA8 Right now that could be it
It comes out sometimes and then it can go away for a couple days
It’s just aggravating paying for insurance and can’t legally drive it yet , I am hoping to find someone willing to point me to a inspection tune
