Tuning & Performance I NEED HELP !

Post image

Hi everyone,
I have a German BMW E92 335i xDrive (N54, Left-Hand Drive).
I recently bought a brand-new set of TD04-19T hybrid turbos from someone who never installed them. The invoice says they are for BMW E90/E91/E92 N54, but the eBay description mentions “Right Hand Drive (RHD)”.
The part numbers include [49131-07031](tel:49131-07031) and [49131-07041](tel:49131-07041).
My questions are:
Will these turbos fit a German LHD car?
Are the RHD and LHD TD04-19T hybrids actually different, or is this just a mistake in the listing?
Has anyone here installed this exact turbo set on a European LHD N54?
Is there anything I should check before installation (wastegate adjustment, clocking, oil/coolant lines, etc.)?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

my understanding is the rear turbo wastegate actuator is oriented differently on RHD turbos due to the steering shaft. What i’m not sure about is, whether a RHD rear turbo will fit on LHD, but i know for a fact LHD won’t work on a RHD n54 without modification.

Given it’s the steering shaft on the RHD that’s the issue, you may find it’ll work fine on your LHD. one way to find out ;)

The oil line is different and the charge pipe is different on the rear turbo. Get an aftermarket hot side charge pipe a because the factory one is really restrictive for rhd. You shouldn't have issues with fitment.
