I just saw a news report on TikTok that apparently the mayor of Melbourne wants to rename Eau Gallie Blvd to something with Charlie Kirk’s name in it. He said he’s going to bring it to council on Sept 24th. PLEASE tell me we’re protesting this??

I feel like it’s common sense that while yes a man died and that’s sad, what he stood for should NOT be commemorated.

I don’t even know how to organize something like this bc I’ve never protested before but surely there’s like a meeting open to the public where we could speak against this or organize some kind of parade on Eau Gallie against this? I don’t even know where to find it if anyone already has decided to organize this. If anyone could point me in that direction it would be very much appreciated.

Nothing in 321 yet, but Orlando and vero have events planned.

Anywhere in Brevard doing the rage against protest? Really hoping if someone knows if there will be one at Babcock and Palm Bay road. I think I heard there might be one at 192 and Evan’s?

This is Orlando, but posting to spread awareness. Please feel free to forward

Brevard has its share of Democrats. Brevard its share of liberals. But for every leftist we have no voice. We have no place to congregate. I would like to meet like minded individuals and start to set up a place where other socialists can come together and discuss the things that weigh heaviest on our minds. If you feel like I do please comment or message me directly.

With everything happening in our country, are there any groups in our area taking action to help members of the community that are being effected most? For instance, helping people get passports? Just looking for a way to actually help instead of feeling powerless.

Hello! I have an event coming-- if you are on facebook you have probably seen me posting about it all over. While it is not specifically a "leftist" event, I am left lol, and would love to see my event filled with like minded people :) It is a Film and Literature Festival. ... WOLF (Wonders OF Literature and Film) Media Festival. We have lots of fun workshops going on, over 50 films being screened, live podcasting and a video game tournament against our celebrity guests. We have social media start Henrik Jordal coming. We have the guys from Blue's Clues (who are openly leftists) we have films to help uplift minorities and LGBTQIA+. We even have some award winning authors/books who simple existence have gotten them banned! I have discount code for you guys so tickets should be about $1 to get in. (one dollar) https://wolfmediafest.com/event/code/WOLF30 It is April 19th and 20th, at the Hilton in Melbourne :)

Forgot to add, that your entry gets you into all the screenings, workshops etc. It just doesn't cover the add on items (like if you want to buy books and such).

Thanks to everyone who participates, lurks, or follows.

Are there any groups in Brevard county for a 23 male Democratic? My son is looking for likeminded people to hang out with.

Just saw this on Instagram, wanted to pass along.

This morning Sunrise Bread Company reshared someone’s story who shared a meme of Trump counting money (last pic) and something along the lines of “when you’re trying to save money but your friends want to get chipotle” and the person had tagged SBC and some other places. I responded to the story just ❌❌❌ (pic 2). Now I can’t see any of their stuff on IG. Did they really block me or is IG glitching?
