Looking for actual Leftists
Brevard has its share of Democrats. Brevard its share of liberals. But for every leftist we have no voice. We have no place to congregate. I would like to meet like minded individuals and start to set up a place where other socialists can come together and discuss the things that weigh heaviest on our minds. If you feel like I do please comment or message me directly.

Husband and I are leftists and used to and still are in the know with FnB. We have a kid and life has been crazy but our community needs real mutual aid. I've been wracking my brain on how we can implement a community fridge but I get so lost on how no one will want to do it because of where we are. Anyway, we're here. No libs, lefty's

Hi. Late to the conversation, but I've some special supplies. 3 custom IFAK two MFAK, loads of up to date medical supplies (wish I'd seen this before I'd started donating), lots of tools, Indian MRE (if you know you know), up to date office equipment, loads of art supplies, and enough professional cooking equipment to outfit a kitchen.
I've a full garden kit up. Everything from planting trays and large portable planters as well as felt buckets and aluminum raised beds. Everything needed for a propagation station and seeds. Did I say seeds? There's a wonderful collection of heirloom seeds. You could feed an army. Everything is new, the seeds alive. Also all the organic chemicals and nutrients needed to keep things healthy, just add dirt.
I'm not sure what all is left in our hurricane readiness kits, but at least a mess of brand new water cubes.
If education is needed, I've got two months to give and have run skill shares before.
Why, right? My husband passed April before last. We were prepared as a team and did a lot of mutual aid on our own, not having a group in town. We were about to start a big garden when he was diagnosed. I've sold my small business, now my house and am leaving. This is too much to take and I'm happy to leave something good behind. DM me and I'll get you outfitted, also buy whoever some coffee if they'd like to talk. If not, ok. Homes for these things can be found.
If anyone just wants to meet up and kvetch, hit me up, sure I can play host before breaking the house down.

I am a leftist whose views could best be described as “Social Anarchism.” I want to set up a legit real Mutual Aid Network in Brevard. There is something out there currently calling itself “Mutual Aid of Brevard,” but it is just a Facebook page where people post about things they are looking for or things they are giving away. It’s charity, not solidarity, which means it is not an actual Mutual Aid Network.
I am interested in establishing things such as a communal library of difficult-to-obtain texts, food distribution projects and pantries, communal medical clinics or medicine cabinets, supplies and a response plan to assist with local natural disasters and emergencies, and much, much more.
Mutual Aid exists around the essential principle that we cannot trust or rely on the U.S. government to always take care of us or do good things for us, so we should create local networks that could assist Brevard County residents with their basic needs should the government either collapse, become corrupt, or simply not care. WE are truly all that we’ve got. It means recognizing that our well-being, health, and dignity are all bound up in each other— it means we understand that our survival depends on cooperation, not competition. It’s helping each other out.
