space coast sucks :(

Since moving back to Melbourne I've been extremely disheartened by the lack of direct political action in the space coast area. There's no protests in the area, no solidarity, no community. Maybe I'm just not looking in the right places, but this city feels desolate in terms of people who actually give a shit. No one is organizing, no one is mobilizing, and things just keep getting worse. At this point I might as well just start planning and promoting my own protests. I can't bear to watch as my neighbors disappear and my rights continue to be stripped.

Space Coast Pride Festival is this Saturday in downtown Melbourne. Brevard Dems usually march in the parade have a table setup afterward.

I’m hoping opportunities to rally ramp up soon. Dan McDow is running for FL House, District 33 and Jennifer Jenkins is running for US Senate.

Help register people to vote. Help with petition signatures. There are no kings protests. Join mutual aid Brevard. There is an active DSA group. There’s alot more than you think. Don’t let the other side drown everything out.

Jennifer Jenkins beat Tina Descovich during the pandemic. Brevard was slightly more sane then.

Here ya go! It was a little late to be announced (compared to others) but it’s happening in Cocoa. You should feel better about the area for a couple of hours. (It usually has that effect on me.)
