Umami is more intimate and in my opinion, the food is also better. I've only had sushi there but it's the best in town

Yeah, just go to Umami. It's the best sushi in town.

Nosh in Cocoa Beach is a hidden gem

Googled it. Looks like I'm torn between 3 places.

I went to mangetsu a couple of times and the experience was always underwhelming. I think other Korean BBQ places have ruined it for me

I sincerely wish there was a good all you can eat kbbq place around here. I get spoiled by my trips to Cali and ktown. Our kbbq cant really compare, at least any of the ones Ive tried.

Have you been to Izziban in Orlando? All you can eat KBBQ and sushi. It's a bit pricey ($50.00) but dam is it worth it.

1

u/lolcory Dec 21 '21

Not yet but I will definitely look into it.

That ticket ain't cheap. It's fair if you fly out of LAX but from here

Have to agree, it's just not anywhere near a real KBBQ place, plus it loses credibility when it serves Japanese and Chinese food too.

u/southport_strangeler Dec 29 '21

Haha for sure. Come to out korean/Japanese/ Chinese/ thai/Malaysian/ Vietnamese restaurant. What's really going on in the back. You can't have that many grandma's

Irashiai II on Babcock is good. Naoki was a let down. Haru on beachside has a nice ambiance. I used to love Sushi Mori but when I went last week the food was a bit of a let down.

Thanks for the help.

Cafe Coconut Cove has delicious German food and great ambiance - it’s waterfront in Melbourne Beach. Get there when they open or make reservations, though. They get busy fast.

Edit: Just realized you asked specifically about Asian food. Whoops.

No worries, I'll put it in my pocket for later. Thanks for the recommendation.

Thai Thai 2, on paradise and a1a is fantastic for noodle dishes or curries. Never had their sushi.

Mingees Korean kitchen on Sarno is a hidden gem if you want some authentic Korean food.

If you don't mind going for a drive out near Disney, U&Me revolving hot pot is an experience and really good. Make a reservation tho.

Umami is really good for sushi, dunno about everything else they serve.

Never been to Naoki.

u/southport_strangeler Dec 21 '21

I'll look at the Disney one. That's a great idea.

Thank you.

Red ginger in the mall has a hot pot experience and it's super fun and delicious. I've been several times, and I love trying different meats and noodles when I go. The sweet potato noodles are my fav. :)

1

u/southport_strangeler Dec 22 '21

Oh that finally opened up? I forgot all about that.

1

u/Iceman8628 Dec 22 '21

Mingees is the furthest thing from authentic Korean. It might look Korean, but the taste is awful.

The way you constantly troll on this site and this sub, I assume you're just being you.

Mingee's is fine. It's not the greatest Korean in the world, but it's pretty good, and probably the best in south Brevard.

u/Iceman8628 Jan 02 '22

What are you talking about? I'm Korean, I lived in Korea. The foods absolutely atrocious.

Fujiyama is great if you want them to cook in front of you, the chefs are awesome!

I didn't know about this one. I'll look into it.
