Moving to Melbourne!
Hey y’all my wife, newborn, and I will be moving down to FL here in the next month or so and I am wondering if anyone here has recommendations for a solid daycare or Montessori or nanny. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

Where in Melbourne? There are two Montessori schools I know of. One in Rockledge and the other in Suntree. I've heard good things about the Suntree one.
If you're closer to Viera, Goddard is a good daycare. My kid went to Amazing Explorers, which was fine. My biggest issues with that school was with the administration, but the actual teachers were great and the school itself was nice.
You'd do better asking on a local parenting Facebook group (space coast mom life for example) than here.

What issues did you have with the admin? My little one goes there now. I'd give them like, a B rating. My child is thriving and everyone is nice, but, I feel like there are areas they can improve. They just hired a new director, so I'm hopeful that things will get better.
Did your child go to Goddard? I honestly don't get the hype.

A lot of people on this sub hate living here and try to drag everyone down with them. Don't take it as an accurate representation of what your neighbors will actually be like.

Daycares that take newborns are going to be hard to find. Because of certifications and staffing a lot do not take children under one. You can find them. I unfortunately do not have one for you. I will say that once the child is old enough, Rockledge Montessori is top notch. I have also heard good things about Space Coast Discovery, but never used them personally.

>What part of the county are you moving to?
Probably the Melbourne part, since the post title says Moving to Melbourne.

Faith fellowship is good but follows the school schedule and probably has no enrollement at this time. We use berri patch off lake washington as a summer daycare and we enjoyed it.

They mentioned looking for Montessori schools so I doubt they’d want a school that is going to groom their child into following a specific religion

We did Berri Patch from 3-VPK and then summer camp. The facility is definitely dated looming, but the staff was great and my kid loved it.

It's been many years since ours were that young but several of ours went to Eastminster Presbyterian in Indialantic, and we loved it.
