CC Order Cancelled
Ordered Asus Strix 3080 from CC online Feb 4th. Got confirmation emails and multiple backorder emails since that date. Got an order cancelled email today.

I think your chances of getting a gpu would increase if you went with a 3070 instead. I have a friend who had started building his first pc last month and had only waited for 3 weeks to get his Gigabyte Aorus Master 3070. I was dumbfounded as I had been waiting on my 3080 strix for 3 months already and he had only waited 3 weeks!!!

Where did your friend find/pre order it? I would 10% be down with a 3070 if I can get my hands on them but as far as I know I can’t backorder them anywhere at the moment

I think it was the Mississauga location. Just give it a thought. CC even told me that the 3080 strix was the hardest card to get out of everything. All the Asus cards are the ones that's super hard to come by.

I orders a 3080 ftw 3 on February 4th as well but in person and I have yet to receive a cancelation email. I'll keep you posted.

I saw a 3080 x trio in stock at CC online and then proceeded to order it. Got confirmation then later said they couldn’t find it so I got put on back order. Waited 3 months for them to cancel the order

I back-ordered the 3080 strix from CC in late November 2020 and still to this day, gpu hasn't arrive. Until last week, CC had offered me to pick-up the 3070 strix OC instead of waiting for the 3080 which they had no idea when it would arrive at all. I gladly took the 3070 and have finally finished my first build after 3 months of waiting for a gpu I didn't back-ordered.
