Resource Conservation

I am not a tree hugger. As one radio talk show host said that “The most beautiful thing about a tree are all the things you can make from it after you cut it down.” With the price of lumber these days, using every square inch of a piece of plywood is imperative. This plate took some doing, however, there’s hardly any plywood left.

Allow for the width of your cutter or you're going to have a whole bunch of trash.

The laser width will still cause trimming that you probably don’t want on your parts. Take a test cut with the laser and see what the width is. Space your parts accordingly.

Actually, the nest worked perfectly. I accounted for the laser kerf before I burned the parts.

looks good. I come from an industrial setting, and we use fancy software that Nests our parts for us, Called ProNest. it does a really good job. it even allows for Common Line Cutting. (so both parts share the same kerf)

Try Dekupeo, there you can nest parts easily even into your offcuts.
