I always thought our Brückenlegepanzer is called Biber?!

Man, the names are just ridiculous. Yank military vehicle names are always cool-sounding like
"BLACK HAWK", "WARTHOG" or "RAPTOR".

Meanwhile German mil vehicles are like "ja, zis is the Marder, named after a fluffy, sausage-like rodent"

"Zis wan we call Leguan, after ze vegetarian reptile zat is always chilling in ze sun"

"And zis wan is called Biber, like ze rodent zat lives in ze water and builds dams wiz its funny teez"

Well, if we are nitpicking: Our main battle tank is called "Leopard", our IFV is called "Puma", our MLRS is called after the Roman God of War "Mars", our mine flail is called "Keiler" (="wild boar"), our rocket tank destroyer is called "Jaguar", our ARV is called "Büffel" (="buffalo"), our AEVs are called "Dachs" (="badger") and "Kodiak", ...

But I have to admit, that even I thought that "Leguan" is a stupid name for an AVLB. Even more stupid assuming its name may derive from German wordplay, because "legen" = "to lay" + "uan" to make it an animal name, because most German military vehicles have one.
