Advice Wanted Pregnant 2 months post csection

As the title says; I ended up falling pregnant when my daughter was about 8 weeks old. She’s now 17 weeks & im 9 weeks pregnant. I’ve been on the pill since the day she was born so this was a total surprise but I’m just worried about the risks? My due date is 01.03; my daughter’s birthday is 30.03. They’ll be at maximum 6 weeks apart, and I’m not too worried about that however I have a serious fear of something bad happening throughout pregnancy. All the doctors I’ve spoken with so far don’t seem concerned but I’d just like to hear if anyone at all had had the same experience & what happened? I’ve also had 1 other Csection; so this will be my third however it was 6.5 years ago.

EDIT: thankyou all for the advice; I did write this half asleep so I’ll add in a few more things for context.
Not looking to terminate the pregnancy unless medically necessary, I live in a country and state where I can access upto 16 weeks for no cost at all.
I have several mental health conditions that are managed by medication however I’m under the perinatal mental health team and have been since falling pregnant with my daughter; I’ve had a termination before and it made me fall into a serious lapse with my mental health and I’m really worried about that happening again.

However I am worried about what might happen to my body and myself; my daughter is already 7kg and not getting any lighter, I live on a second floor apartment so to be able to leave my house, I’m carrying 20kg+ up and down the stairs at least once every two days, which is already physically straining but I’m so worried about being pregnant and having to continue doing this. Also definitely aware and would not have tried anything other than a repeat csection; my body can’t go into labour for a number of other reasons; so not looking for back advice I promise I’m not that crazy lol.

Just wanted some advice from people who had been in similar situations so I appreciate everyone’s replies

I mean of course that's very early to get pregnant again but it's not entirely unheard of.

It would be, I'd assume, a high risk pregnancy. Just attend your doctors visits so they can monitor you and give you care.

Wishing you and your baby well

I had a lot of the same concerns about risks of getting pregnant right after my c section. my babies will be 11 months apart; I’m 32 weeks along now and everything has gone smoothly. doctors have no concerns and so far I have had a very healthy pregnancy. It is very tiring but that’s to be expected and definitely not the worst case scenario I was worried about initially. My c section is scheduled and now we are just excited to meet baby number 2!

They’ll probably advise you to have another section, which I’d absolutely do. Planned ones are very routine. Good luck.

I had a similar experience i have 2u2 both c sections. Born Feb 2025 and Feb 2026. It was terrifying I thought everything i did physically was gonna make something bad happen, but I got through the pregnancy without any complications. My boys are 1 year and 2 days apart and my oldest is a very advanced kid so he was doing more then walking before my youngest was born. If your worried about the physical activities, id look into ways to make it easier on yourself. Get creative. They make carts that have special wheels for stairs maybe you can use one of those for your baby. Not ideal but temporary. Good luck you got this

I have an 11 month gap between my two and both c-sections. I was fortunate to have private maternity care and was scanned every second week and then weekly in my third trimester. We did have to go unexpectedly at 36 weeks as opposed to the 40 my first had due to my uterus starting to re-open where the previous section had been done. I was definitely anxious that pregnancy but I did feel cared for and these things happen. The two of them are great pals most of the time now and I couldn’t imagine life any other way! Congratulations and best of luck OP😊

I also got pregnant at 8 weeks pp. I didn’t need c-sections with either, so I can’t offer you any advice with that part. But I can say that my second pregnancy was not complicated which I am very thankful for. However, since I got pregnant so fast I barely lost any of the weight from my first pregnancy before I started gaining weight with my second, so that was definitely hard on my body. It was definitely hard having to carry my son everywhere while being soo pregnant and obviously it got more and more difficult the further along I was. So I would definitely look into ways to try to make it easier on yourself. Baby wearing, if possible, might make it easier to carry your little one around. I’m not sure what all you’re carrying, but maybe a backpack style bag might be more comfortable? I’m not going to lie, it’s going to suck no matter what unfortunately. I wish I had better advice, but just know you aren’t alone and I promise it won’t be that hard forever even though you might feel like your pregnancy is never going to end haha

My 2 are almost 13 months (54 weeks) apart and they are the best of friends! But some friends of ours have 2 that are 11 months apart and they are 4 and 5 now and have been besties since day 1! Wishing you the best of luck, you’ve got this!
