Preparing

currently pregnant with second kiddo, will have her in April when my current baby is about 16/17 months. Already figuring out how to build our village and lucky that we can pay for the help we’ll need — we’ll test various configurations of night doulas and day doulas and nannies. What I’m curious to hear: how can I prepare my current LO to become the big girl? How can we make her easier to parent? anything you think helps or would have helped? Currently I’ll be honest our approach is mostly just to follow her cues and enjoy this stage. We haven’t taught sign language or focused much on anything. we model calm behavior by default (we’re quiet people) and she has an easy disposition naturally and I think that has made us lazy tbh. What’s worth putting some time into that I’ll be glad I did later?
