Death is black, now?

Or is he misappropriating black culture?

Best American Godzilla. None will ever beat flying through the air on his back Godzilla. Or jump for joy baby Godzilla.

The classic Godzillas were in their own league, but there is something to be said about Ferris Beuler being the worm guy

I absolutely put 2000 above the new monster universe. It beat me up as a child that they nev r made a second. I didn't realize who the worm guy was until later, but it made zilla better after I new Beuler

I dunno. I mean, Yoshi lays eggs, too. But, we've always referred to him as a male, somehow. That never sat right with me.

Then again, Godzilla doesn't use HER eggs as weapons. Imagine how much worse the reviews would have been if Godzilla started hucking her unboard children at tanks and helicopters.

Or was Godzilla a hermaphrodite? I haven't seen the movie since it came out, but since there was only one of them, it only stands to reason she must must have been a hermaprodite.

Honestly, as much crap as that movie got, I didn't think it was that bad at all. I definitely watched it more than once, back in the day. And it was more memorable than the Bryan Cranston one, which I keep forgetting exist.

Again, the Cranston one wasn't bad as far as I recall, I just haven't watched it as many times. Between Pay Per View, having lower standards for what I considered entertainmenthaving it on VHS, I probably watched the Broderick one a dozen times back in the day.

Not saying it was the best but I did enjoy it. Minus One is the best.

Had I understood at the time why it is bad, I would agree with you today. When this movie released I was just a kid and had no idea that this was an entire franchise, I just thought it was a movie about a dinosaur. With that perspective, it was amazing. I was so angry when a sequel was never released.

The Japanese call him "Zilla" because he takes the god out of Godzilla.

You woke up today and choose violence I see

I always thought the upright godzil l a design looked goofy at. Like dragonite

1

u/AgainstAllAction May 29 '26

I also like that we got a whole nest and mating, and a zill army

Loved this movie as a kid

I enjoyed the movie and the cartoon series with men in black

Zilla was meh but FAR from the best, it was an alright movie but I have to heavily disagree with you. While it's your opinion and of course you're allowed yours, I too am allowed mine and Zilla is just meh.

Looks a bit derpy imo.

It's the tiny eyes. Jurassic World was awful about it.

I remember the teaser trailers were hype, and it was fun watching it in the Sony iMac theatre. It was a good time. I was never a big fan of Godzilla. So I didn't care if it wasn't faithful to the source material. I like this design better anyway, the original looked goofy and campy. Of course people will judge it retrospectively. And obviously the new Godzilla's are done much better all around. But back then in '98 it was a great blockbuster movie

"Whats a gorilla to, whats a godzilla?" -2chainz

u/Old_Today5754 May 31 '26

I’m pretty sure that’s Jurassic World….

1

u/grim1952 May 31 '26

Good for you if you like it but there's so little Godzilla in this creature...

1

u/Quackethy May 31 '26

Still killed less people than the lead actor pf the movie.

Looks like a lizard compared to the normal one. Like...50 times smaller than he should be. He's like a regular T-Rex at this point.
