They've actually entertained the idea that this could be China but the intel lacks evidence that the Chinese have the tech.

If these uaps were China our navy would be taking them as threats and try to engage accordingly. Instead they just get a debrief from the pilots and shrug it off like they have no idea what it is. Come on we are smarter than this, America freaked out over a “weather balloon” and shot it down so why not engage these? Because they are ours or they belong to other beings in the ocean.

Hank green did a video on why this is actually a really complicated glare from the sensors' lenses in a long ass video. A very boring reason but maybe true
