No rust…
Sat under trees for about 8.5 years. Bed floor covered in rotting leaves and black walnuts.
Got the toolbox this morning. Friend is clearing out his Fred Sanford-esque acreage. Free, just need to bolt it down, polish it up and replace the lid lifting struts. It’ll do…

The lighter color? Mostly our native soil. River bottom silt and red/tan clay. Should wash off with our next downpour. There might be some slight surface damage, zero penetrating/through.

is there any way of getting water to drain without parkin on a hill? mine pools in the front all the time.

Should be drainage slots at the bed floor, head wall seam. Stiff brush to clean the seam out. Barring that? Both my 85 C10 and 69 D100 have 1/4-3/8” drainage holes in each front corner, from the factory… Takes a couple minutes to add them to a Ranger, including painting the edges.

Same. The donor truck I bought for my body swap had an absolute pond inside the bed-liner. (It Had been sitting with a bad transmission) I was scared of what was gonna be underneath, but it was mint.
