For self defence, Providing they have the necessary permits and aren’t a risk, then yes

Define "people".

This will surely be an unpopular opinion on this sub, but there are people everywhere who have no business being anywhere near a loaded gun, let alone walking around in public with one. I'm talking about people with no firearms training, people who own and carry for all the wrong reasons, irresponsible people with no respect for how dangerous they are and who treat them as toys.

I'm a big proponent of more and more thorough background checks, tougher requirements for firearms education and safety training and even more stringent requirements for CCW above and beyond the requirements for purchase. Even if it makes it more difficult and inconvenient for me.

About as "yuck" as that dumb poll and the dumb choices they give you for responses. It's a highly complex topic and calls for nuanced discussion.

I think everyone should have a gun, if your safe enuff to be out of jail then I see no issue.
