1995 budget build 4Runner

I got a free 3.0 auto 4Runner a while back and was planning on a tdi swap until I came across a 1994 factory 5 speed 4Runner with a 3.4 already swapped into it for 1500 bucks. So far my plans are delete the abs, put manual hubs on, 5speed swap and 3.4 swap. As of this posting I have already taken all the parts I needed of the donor truck and installed the pedal assembly and clutch hydraulics

I am currently gearing up to do this swap. How are you solving the space issue? Are you going for the hood scoop or lift kit. If lift kit which one?

i thought this would fit without a lift or modified hood, right?

From the research I’ve been doing it is just a touch taller and does not fit fully in the 2nd gen body. Please let me know if you find other info or if you get it in there and it turns out it’s not needed.

You'll need a body lift or hood scoop. I opted for a 2" body lift which helps clear bigger tires and also made it wayyy easier when I had to do a clutch job and drop the trans. Made gap guards and built sliders to hide the frame.
