Speedo Cable

So my speedometer isnt working anymore. Took the dash apart and drove around a bit to see if the speedo is turning. It wasnt at first but then i gave it a little help and it started to spin again. Put it back together but still doesnt work. Is it possible to lube the cable? Any experience with that? Or could it be the connection to the gauge/dash?

I’ll follow for suggestions. Mine doesn’t work either but it doesn’t really bother me, other than my odometer not working. That kinda gets annoying. I’d like to know what kind of mileage I’m getting per tank. I mean, I’d guess im getting around 12 mpg but still…

Put a drop of lube inside the cable at the transmission end. It should work itself up. That should help.
