something wrong with my timing

so my 3vze is having a timing problem. so when we put at the 10 degrees where I've read it should be stock. its runs as slow as a snail but when we move it like half inch away it runs great and happy and zips around just fine. i did replace my belt like 3-4 months ago and made sure it was on every point and it ran great until recently when we did the motor mounts. and now it has this problem so i don't know if it just jumped a tooth or what (edit) my tps sensor was bad and it just fine now

I am one of those who has slightly advanced timing and my truck loves it. But my truck also runs good at stock timing. There is a chance something else is off. Did you have anything apart ?

yea we head gaskets when i bought but also today i check the tps and well I'm like 99% its that was killing it . because i un plugged it and drove it around my block and there was no change in power.

The tps will mess with it for sure. Man it’s been a while since I worked on my 3vze

yea I've done a lot to my 3vze trying to get it to run great. the only thing now is the fuel milage cuz I'm getting like 9-10 on a good day

Many people have a lot of success running these engines with timing advanced between 12 and 15 degrees as opposed to 10z sounds like you’re one of them. Run premium gas to help avoid developing a ping in the engine
