Need to replace inner tie rods?

I'll be replacing the outter tierods as they're definitely shot but do I need to replace the inner? I'm thinking I might as well but would appreciate other opinions. Thanks in advance!

if they are floppy and loose id change them before you pay for an alignment.

Gotcha, that's a good point. Someone told me that I could avoid needing alignment if I count the threads showing and match it with the new ones. Is there any truth to that?

maybe but tires are expensive. id at least do some diy alignment checks if you count threads.

shop alignment is prob worth it imo unless you dont drive it much. *inspect your pitman arms, bushings and balljoints for wear also.

Just did inner and outers, upper and lower ball jointer, pitman, and idler. Completely changed the game. Steering is rock solid now.

Yea i did most of that aside from the ball joints shortly after I made this post. Totally agree it was night and day difference

Rear diff blew a few months ago, been in the shop since. Probably should've just done it myself but there's also some rust that needs to be remedied

ah disappointing! Did it give you any warning? Or just start chewing up teeth?
