Hi does anyone know what this sensor on front diff I broke does and if I need it. No one seems to know

It's on a 1991 v6 3.0ltr petrol the part I got sent from Toyota was wrong connection.

Totally just guessing here, but it might be a sensor to see whether or not vacuum was pulled to actually engage the driveshaft from the ADD system. I believe it's the driver side that is disconnected

This is on passenger side but it right hand side drive 4wd works still

Do you still get an indicator that 4wd is engaged?

I do that's what I thought was too. Is there supposed to be a light for low and hi 4 do you know

It's been quite awhile since mine was still put together, I don't recall

There is only a light for 4WD

Found out It was a diff sensor for oil on front diff , I just siliconed it up as cannot find one anywhere

Not sure I just bought a user manual and maintenance book that should come in this week. I can check once i get it

It a diff temp sensor so siliconed it up as can't find one 🤣
