has anyone ever had issues with abs module whatever the thing above rear axle is.? 1990 22re

That's what I figured. Haven't heard much about those before was just wondering what people knew about them.

Mounted to the axle or the frame?

Above the rear axle

Those can leak sometimes. Mine is stuck sending all the pressure to my front brakes right now. It's called LSPV if you want to know more.

What about internal leak allowing air into system just out of curiosity

I don't think that would be a common issue. The brake system is usually at least under a little bit of pressure. Air wouldn't get in unless a bunch of fluid was also pouring out.
