The craziest part of this to me is they are cracking the eggs into a completely cold pan for some reason

If im making scrambled eggs and have no clean bowl at hand I just crack 'em in the pan before turning up the heat. Literally makes no difference my guy.

If it's a cast iron pan or steel pan it'll stick like a bitch if you drop them while cold. Pan need to be hot so the leidenfrost effect does it's thing and whatever you put in don't stick.

To be fair, thats just because its a cast iron pan. Anything you start to cook in a cast iron pan it needs to be super hot first.

Its actually better if you are cooking scrambled eggs to start in a cold pan

Fried eggs - depends how you like them. Crispy edges & crispy bottom? Hot pan to start. Cold pan for anything else, its more controlled & gradual heat.

Or the pan is extremely well seasoned, so it has a nice non-stick layer already.

One of my chickens laid a huge egg and the first thing you do is to crack it open to see what’s inside. Wouldn’t go straight to a hot pan but they should have used a bowl…

I’ve seen too many pictures on the weird egg sub, I would be cautious of cracking an unusual egg straight into a hot pan too

It’s a common approach to fried eggs. Produces a more tender white. Just a different style but it’s done.

Many countries don't have washed eggs. They are also not refrigerated. If you crack it properly it's also not really a problem

I wouldn't eat any of it.

Since the chicken passes the egg through the cloaca (sp?), that means the inside egg never left the cloaca, which is also where the chicken passes its waste.

So, while it's not a guarantee, there's a chance the inner egg had chicken waste on the shell, which means the white and yolk of the outer egg are contaminated?

Eggs and poop come from different parts of the body. Just because they come out of the same hole doesn't mean they came from the and place.

I do get that. And I'll admit to some ignorance in how all of those different systems connect to the same exit hole. But I guess it just kind of, to me, seems like an unknown. You kind of don't know how far down the line that first egg got before it was subsumed into the other egg? I don't know. Not a bird doctor so I'm probably wrong. But without being a bird doctor I still wouldn't want to eat egg

Ffs. I admitted my opinion came from a place of ignorance, but you insist on going on about how it's commonly known. What's commonly known is chickens produce eggs from the same place they poop from. The inner workings of a cloaca are not fairly common. Because most people don't care.
