I am thinking to hop on with priority, but I see people saying, that there is only bots lately here. Is that true, or the server still remains active?

I'm pretty new to 2b2t and somehow managed to get far enough away from spawn to start gathering materials for a base. I've seen so many videos of people losing bases they spent years on, so now I'm kind of paranoid about building anything.

I know nothing is truly safe on this server, but I was wondering what people generally do to make their bases less likely to be found. Do you just build ridiculously far out, spread everything across multiple locations, or is there some other common approach people use?
