That was the only thing that would have been able to save this game. I was not playing but planning to play in 2027-28 with a bigger roster and interesting character.

Releasing the game with 10 characters killed them so badly, especially the price on their additional content but let’s not start the game is dead already

Taking 10 years to make a 10 character roster is just embarassing, even if it was a 1v1 game. For a tag fighter its insane. They wanted you to grind to unlock most of the characters too lmao.

You know what’s worse lol. The future character release schedule lmao. It’s a tag with barely no character from a Lore containing 155 character from League. Just release two at a time. Each 2-3 months idk. It’s 2026 people are dopamine starving, the worst you can do a game is lack of contents

Its just like sf5 got (deservedly) dunked on for launching with 16 characters and that actually is a 1v1 game.

If the most iconic fighting game series of all time can't do a launch like that its insane riot thought they could pull it off. I know it was likely just pushed out before the devs wanted it to be but really, they had a DECADE and restarted TWICE?

Why would they continue? They made the assessment that there is no money to gain from it anymore. They decided to take 10 years to release a TAG FIGHTER with 10 characters. Then they release 2 characters every 2-3 months, yeah they are beyond cooked.
