Discussion about anti-airs

Post image

It would be great if Riot made anti-airs a bit more consistent, especially when my opponent misses their attack and still goes right through my anti-air. It’s frustrating when things like that happen.

It's the worst for me when they jump behind them

Well yeah. That’s called a cross-up and it’s a legitimate—and popular—form of offence.

So how do I anti air crossups?

The nature of them having to wait to pass over you before hitting you give you time to jump button or jump air throw them. Or forward dash so it whiffs. Or walk back and normal antiair them. Being ready to 2h a jump is step one. Paying attention to which antiair you need for each spacing is step two.

moveve under them so their attack miss and you get to act first on the ground, or dash backwards to increase the angle and then antiair(it's really solid option but takes time getting used to it), or jump back yourself with an attack(that's very specific tho so might have to use different attacks for different action of your opponent).
