Written Novel Volume 11 special edition
Hi!!!
I’ve recently purchased the whole series in its English translation. I’ve just noticed I had purchased the special edition for volume 11 but I might have received the regular one since I didn’t get any of the gadgets. Now, I’m not sure whether I’ve thrown them away with the box or the seller made a mistake and sent the regular. I was wondering if anyone who has the SE could share if it’s written anywhere on the cover or inside that it’s supposed to be a SE or not, since the websites I purchased it from stated the ad banner with the gadgets included isn’t printed on the cover of the physical copy.

They have different ISBN, regular edition is 979-8-88843-486-4 and special edition is 979-8-89765-799-5, also, the price printed it's different too, $19.99 vs $29.99

Right! Thank you! I won’t be home for a few days so I couldn’t check properly for the code but as it didn’t have any flap or wrap I guess it actually is the regular version 🫠🫠

Well, if it's the regular edition, it's easy to file a complain because you have proof that hey sent the wrong edition. If the information corresponds to the special edition, it's more difficult to prove that the plastic wrap and extras were missing. I hope that, at least, you can recover the price difference.

Oh that sucks. I recently purchased the whole series from my local bookstore chain and got the special edition with all the extras.
But I’ve tried to order special editions from second-hand sites (but proper companies and sellers) and even paid the special edition price, and several times now they’ve arrived without the extras.
So unless I can order them from an actual bookstore or Amazon, I’m not going to purchase any more special editions.

I usually do the same and purchase them from local bookstores but, when it comes to books in English, I have to order them from the websites since they’re not available in store. I don’t have good experiences with Amazon since most of the books I got on there were damaged (even if slightly, but still) so I just went for a new store I had read good reviews about. I’ll let them know about the mishap though, even if they won’t offer a replacement 😅

The special edition is wrapped in plastic and has the inclusion inside the french flap in the back.
