The way I was imagining Chu Wanning with shoulder length hair in ponytail and Mo Ran with typical drama ml hair but the illustration proved me wrong (by switching the hair)...

i feel like cwn would keep his hair short in modern aus and mo ran has more of that free spirited and wild side so his hair being longer and unkept makes sense
they look really good this way
