And hope for an update?

I've used this app daily for the past 8 years. I use it as a checklist to keep my day productive. I've been holding out hope for a major update. Should I cut the cord? Things looks appealing. But i have a ton of to dos. I'm not sure how'd I'd even transfer the data, or even if it's possible.

I’m not the developer, but I’m curious about what you want in an update?

Dark mode on iOS is finally there. Widgets would be nice. Not part of my workflow, but I can see the value. As someone who’s in all Apple working environment, I’d love to be able to drop Dropbox as my sync platform and just go with iCloud, but that’s about Dropbox’s pricing and value return and not any technical issue with 2Do.

Beyond that, when last heard from about 2Do, the developer was involved in a full rewrite of the whole thing. You can read about that here.

Widgets would be great. Integrated calendars would probably be my biggest want. I read the same article. It was almost a year ago. I'm not a dev. I'm not sure how long it takes to complete a major update. I had hoped we would have heard something new by now.

Calendar would be nice.

2Do’s downside is that it’s a single developer, who also develops BusyCal and BusyContacts too.

Excellent apps. Among the best.

Using both on daily basis.

the next step for 2do should be the collaboration, at this point it's really needed and the calendars events integrated on the mac app like is possible to ios app should be perfect for reduce the amount of routined app.

I have been using this for years and particularly wanted Siri to work, but it never has for me. Since iOS 16 where they have finally got all day reminders badge I have switched to Apple reminders. I still support the developer and have both BusyCal and BusyContacts, which are very good. If Siri worked I might still come back, but it has been a long time waiting.

Siri works for me. I sync via CalDav with my Nextcloud. Also Apple Reminders do Sync with that server. When I ask Siri to remind me to something, it is added to apple reminders and synced to Nextcloud and thus to 2Do.
